Rob launched Camera Moves in 1992 when he brought one of the first Stanton Jimmy Jibs to the East Coast. He is one of a handful of operators to achieve a behind the scenes EGOT - working on the Emmys, the Grammys, the Oscars and the Tonys! From soap operas to the Metropolitan Opera, from stand up comedy to episodic drama, from the corporate world to Broadway... he's shot it all.  His 25 years at the Academy Awards Ceremonies and 18 Super Bowl halftime shows and 5 Primetime Emmy Awards are a testament to his longevity.

Ryan Balton

Jib, Techno Jib, Steadicam and Remote Head operator

Ryan’s career started when he was in high school, working as a jib technician for his father, Bruce. He honed his craft as a jib and Steadicam operator at ESPN as a Lead Studio Operator for 6 years. Since then he has worked on shows all over the country, from A Capitol Fourth in Washington DC, to the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles, to MTV’s Wild ‘N Out in Atlanta and of course numerous productions in New York City. He won his first Emmy award for his camerawork on the 2024 Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade.

Daniel Balton Jib Operator Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve

Daniel's first television credit was in 2009 as a jib technician for a Dave Matthews Band concert on Fuse. His operating career began in 2013 at the White House for the Gershwin Prize to Carole King on PBS. Since then, he has worked on diverse productions, including concerts, operas, award shows, stand-up comedy, commercials, and app-based trivia game shows. He earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for his camerawork on Dave Chappelle's Netflix special "Sticks and Stones" and received a Peabody Award for his work on "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj."
